Seeking Executive Director

The Board of Directors of the Embudo Valley Library and Community Center seeks an experienced, compassionate, collaborative leader to serve as Executive Director of our library serving a vibrant, diverse, and socially engaged community located in Dixon, NM.  

In coordination with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will guide Embudo Valley Library in the next chapter of its shared vision.  The Executive Director will be responsible for the organization’s overall management, effectiveness, and sustainability.  The Executive Director supervises approximately 4-6 staff members, oversees volunteers and supports their development and growth, ensures the provision of effective and high-quality library services,  contributes to library-wide planning, policy-making, goal-setting, and assessment efforts.

Summer Reading Program Begins Soon!

Summer Reading Program is almost here!! - Come on in to the Library to sign up for the program, which will officially begin on Wednesday, June 11th. We have scheduled programming and special events each Wednesday and Saturday all the way through July 26th! Drones & SimTable: Honoring the Land's Legacy & Empowering Future Generations to Protect it!

Join us on Saturday, June 14th from 10AM - 12PM to experience the power of drones and SimTable and their role in preserving our land and shaping the future. This event is brought to you by three Native scholars from Northern New Mexico College, blending tradition with technology!

There will be a drone flying demonstration and interactive SimTable presentation where we'll explore dynamic simulations focused on land preservation and sustainable decision-making, bringing our community together for a better tomorrow!

FREE EVENT: The Marriage of Figaro

Contact us to sign up for our FREE Youth Night at the Santa Fe Opera, for an evening performance of the Marriage of Figaro on June 24th, including FREE transportation! This offering is part of our Summer reading program and registration materials are at our front desk. This is a beautiful evening event that's not to be missed!

About the Opera:

Love, loyalty and lies can be a tricky trio. In Mozart’s hands, they’re perfectly wound into a comedy brimming with mistaken identities, youthful yearning and hilarious antics. Will Figaro keep his wife’s heart safe from the Count’s amorous advances?

French director Laurent Pelly’s stylish production, set in the late 1930s just before World War II, is back by popular demand! The Santa Fe Opera is proud to present the following American debuts: Italian bass Riccardo Fassi in the title role, French baritone Florian Sempey as Count Almaviva and Spanish soprano Marina Monzó as Countess Almaviva. Former apprentice Liv Redpath will sing Susanna and Chinese mezzo-soprano Hongni Wu sings Cherubino. Music Director Harry Bicket conducts the international cast.
